Holi - The festival of colors. Probably the favorite for most of us.
Playing with colors and gulal is so much fun, isn't it? But with the frolic comes damage to your hair. That’s such a bummer, especially for girls!
This year, what if you could play Holi without worrying about your Hair?
- Firstly, do not forget to oil your hair. Use coconut, olive, mustard or sesame (til) oil. Oil can act as a protection layer. When you bathe after Holi the color goes off easily. It will also protect your hair from dryness, frizziness, roughness and irritation.
- Second, make sure you tie your hair after applying oil. Braid it or tie it into a bun to protect them from getting damaged. Also chances that your hair gets grabbed will be low this way!
- Immediately after Holi, starting your hair wash with a conditioner first. This will neutralize colors and chemicals in the hair. Follow it with a good shampoo hair wash.
- In case your hair becomes dry, dull and/or frizzy, you can apply an egg yolk. Keep it on for 10-15 minutes and wash it with water. Instead of egg yolk, you can also use curd. This will help to restore the pH balance and restore shine.
We hope these tips and tricks help protect your hair. Have a happy and safe Holi.
